Our 2025 Ambassadors

  • Ashley

Hi! My name is Ashley, and I have been hiking for years. I discovered hiking long distance about 3 years ago when I heard of The Crucible.

Physical and mental health are huge priorities in my life. Nature has a way of challenging me to become stronger and develop life skills. I have enjoyed learning how to properly train and fuel my body to face challenges and overcome them.

I enjoy encouraging others to reach outside their comfort zone, because that is where I dig deep and develop strength.

Life has a way of taking hold of us and drowning us with priorities. The outdoors welcomes a therapeutic effect, and it is indescribable how good it feels completing challenges such as The Crucible.

  • Jennifer

I’m a fiftyish gal, married, originally from Ohio. I am obsessed with dogs, hiking and walking, travel, and vegetarian cooking, (I love to eat, it’s always snack time), and anytime I get to spend with friends, family and my amazing husband who also loves dogs. The first Crucible I did really changed my life. I never in a million years thought I could do it. And, here I am about to do my 8th 20 miler this year!

  • Jessica

Jessica is a consultant at Ingham ISD, with 19 years of experience in education. When she’s not logging miles on the trails in the Waterloo Recreation Area, Jessica is active in her community by serving as the treasurer/secretary for the Munith Rod and Gun Club, and writing book reviews for the local newspaper. Jessica lives in Munith with her husband, Brad, and their cat, Scootie.
